The end is nigh for traditional voice services, predicts analyst

Mobile and voice over IP services will take over from traditional
circuit-switched telephony services within five years, analysts
predicted today.

According to the latest research from Analysys, mobile and VoIP will
account for more than 60 per cent of residential voice spend in western
Europe by 2010, while circuit-switched services will fall to just 39
per cent.
