The world's hax have been obediently keeping the lid on a deal due to be announced 11.30 today, giving Skype connectivity to mobile phone users with contracts or PAYG accounts with "3".
To the astonishment of journalists and analysts, the story was given to the BBC radio programme "Today" at 7.30 this morning, with "3" boss Kevin Russell giving a personal interview on air, live, four hours before the embargo was due to lift.
The "big secret" announcement was originally supposed to be revealed first thing; but the PR office inside "3" has postponed it to near midday.
