Earlier this year Adobe announced Open Screen Project which is supposed to drive rich internet experiences and enable a consistent application interface across multiple devices like personal computers, mobile phones, PDA’s, and other electronics.
I have heard that the main goal of the project is to bring Adobe Flash to mobile phones. I wonder what that means for VoIP… will we be watching movies on VoIP enabled handheld devices. Oooh, I bet movie execs and licensing attorneys are sweating in their Pradas thinking about how to control this one. Open Source could be making control freaks a little mad but VoIP and open source are here to stay.
